The AIH-PBC overlap syndrome is the most common form of OS. The aim: to study the clinical and paraclinical characteristics of the overlap syndrome and to specify the therapeutic and evolutionary characteristics. Methods: The medical data of 42 PBC patients were evaluated for associated autoimmune hepatitis. Results: Among the 42 cases of PBC, we retained 16 cases of OS (37%). All female the association of diagnostic criteria for PBC and HAI was simultaneous in 80%. Treatment with AUDC, corticosteroid and Azathioprine was started in the majority of our patients. The course was marked by a complete (10 cases) or incomplete (n = 6) response. Conclusion: OS should be considered in the presence of any mixed cytolytic and cholestatic liver disease. Its recognition is essential in order to adapt treatment and prevent progression to cirrhosis and its complications.

Primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) can frequently coexist with other autoimmune diseases (AID). The aim of our study was to determine the prevalence and type of associated autoimmune diseases in a series of PBC. Methods: The medical data of 42 PBC patients were evaluated for associated autoimmune diseases. Results: In the study population, 26 (65%) patients had autoimmune diseases associated, including Autoimmune hepatitis 35.7%, dysthyroidism 12%, Gougerot-Sjogren syndrome 9.5%, rheumatoid arthritis 9.5%, scleroderma 2.3%, Raynaud's phenomenon 2.3%. Conclusion: A large number of autoimmune diseases were associated with PBC patients. Screening for these diseases must be systematic during PBC in order to deal with them early.

Seronegative PBC (specific AMA antibodies are negative) is a particular clinical form of PBC.The aim of this study was to determine the clinical-biological and evolutionary features of seronegative PBCs. Methods: The medical data of 42 PBC patients were evaluated and the AMA positive and negative groups were compared. Results: 42 cases of PBC were collected. These were 41 women and 1 man. The mean age at diagnosis was 46 years (25-70 years). AMA Abs were most often positive (n = 34). Other antibodies were found in 22 patients. In our series, 9.75% of cases had seronegative PBC. By comparing the 2 groups of PBC with or without AMA Abs, depending on age, sex, degree of fibrosis and response to
AUDC, no statistically significant difference was noted. Conclusion: In our series, the prevalence of seronegative PBC was 9.75%. Its clinicalbiological and evolutionary profile under treatment does not seem to differ from that of seropositive PBC.

Soil-Transmitted Helminths (STH) are public health problem in the world and particularly in developing countries. This study initiated at the University Félix Houphouët-Boigny of Cocody (Abidjan - Ivory Coast) aims to determine the level of prevalence, the intensity of infestation and co-infections due to Soil-Transmitted Helminths and the various associated factors. The Mini Flotac technique combined with a questionnaire was the method used to achieve the set objective. The study resulted in prevalence rates of 23.45% for Ascaris lumbricoides, 16.81% for Trichuris trichura and 0.88% for Ankylostoma spp. Co-infection of Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichiura was identified, i.e. a prevalence of 7.96%. The logistic regression model showed that Ascaris lumbricoides infection is associated with property in university toilets (OR=2.53, p≤0.05). This study made it possible to initiate an integrated control programme against Soil-Transmitted Helminths in general and Ascaris lumbricoides and Trichuris trichura
infection in particular at Félix Houphouët-Boigny University.
